The variant with a hardness of 37° on an orange sponge and a thickness of 2.1 mm is specifically developed as a purebred backhand rubber. Why choose the 37° variant for the backhand?
Designed for backhand: Traditional Hurricane tends to be too hard and difficult to control for the backhand. The 37° variant (Soft by Chinese standards) provides the necessary elasticity, higher playing comfort, and excellent ball feel during backhand topspins and direct shots.
Orange Sponge: Unlike hard forehand versions with a blue sponge, this orange sponge offers higher control, a longer ball contact time (dwell-time), and better feedback to the hand.
NEO Technology: The integrated factory fresh-glue effect adds the necessary dynamics and speed to the rubber, perfectly compensating for the softer sponge.

DHS Hurricane 3 NEO National 37° turns your backhand into a dangerous weapon. The extremely sticky surface allows you to lift low-underspin balls with brutal spin (the so-called backhand opening topspin). The softer sponge significantly facilitates over-the-table play (short-short), gives you confidence during aggressive backhand banana flips (chiquita), and excels in precise, controlled blocking against opponent attacks.
Please note: Like any proper Chinese rubber, this one also requires a short break-in phase (approx. 2–3 training sessions), during which the surface settles optimally and the rubber gains its final playing characteristics.
